SNOW! And other things.

Well, the blizzard which has reduced the rest of Britain to a shivering, public transport-less hulk of ice has finally hit London, and rendered the Newsquest parking lot a winter wonderland (or ice-bound hellhole, depending on whether you drive or not.)

So, if you’re stuck inside this fine, winter afternoon, here’s some light reading, and a trailer for my most hotly anticipated game of 2010.

First up, it’s my The Force Unleashed 2 Review, now online at gameSlave. And if I’m honest, I was really disappointed with this one. I’m a Star Wars fan (if that wasn’t already obvious from my previous posts) and I was very let down by the shoddy workmanship of this title. Lucasarts, if you’re reading this, consider yourself on report…

Secondly, my Call of Duty: Black Ops review, also online at gameSlave.

I loved it. ‘Nuff said.

But before I wander off into the realms of speculation, check out this trailer for the game. I love it. It really says a lot about the online multiplayer I enjoy so much, and is a great reminder of the way games can bring people from all walks of life together.

Ok. Here’s my top pick for the hottest title of 2010: Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Adam Jensen. Where can I get a coat like that!

I haven’t really touched on the title before, but that’s mostly because I’ve been ignoring it, so that when it finally appears on the shelves, I can go into its halls of conspiracy with fresh eyes. That said, here’s the latest gameplay trailer, which is looking awesome, and a picture of the protagonist, Adam Jensen, who has been gracing my desktop for a week or so.
